Shelby Valentine is a healer, mentor, + spiritual awakening guide to leaders + Lightworkers. Her work centers wholeness, Real Relating, embodiment, ensoulment, + Dharma. Shelby has helped 100s of humans over the past 4 years remember their inherent Wholeness, deepen their intuitive gifts + Divine connection, + share their service-based, Sacred Work with the world.
My personal story is one of overcoming Trauma and finding / being found by the Spiritual Path, my Purpose, + Dharma.
In February of 2020, I woke up suddenly blind. After having no history of medical issues (not even have had stitches or breaking a bone), this was… shocking to say the least. This sort of freak autoimmune response + Trauma ended up being the most important + pivotal gifts of my entire life.
It woke me up, it sparked a totally spontaneous spiritual awakening + knowing, instant clarity on my next steps, AND almost instant clarity about why this happened and what needed to happen next.
It was the biggest lesson I’ve ever experienced in listening to the body and the whispers of inner knowing.
I was forced to go BACK and process years of unprocessed trauma that had led me to where I was when the incident happened: in a job I didn’t love, in a relationship that wasn’t aligned, in deep denial and codependency in my relationships, quite boundaryless, an atheist, rejecting my Path, being completely disconnected from my body + Soul and their needs.
I went back to process my Trauma/trauma from both childhood and acute Trauma I went through in college from an abusive relationship. I processed the aftermath of that relationship in my college years. I processed the aftermath of the abuse and trauma I went through – CPTSD, paranoia, brutal eating disorders, addiction, depression, suicidal ideation, near-death experiences, complete hormone imbalance, disassociation, atheism + suppression.
In the same week I went blind + experienced this spontaneous clarity, I quit my job (Director Level at a Tech Startup in NYC), broke up with my boyfriend (6 months overdue), decided to start meditating and connecting to Spirit daily, and took the next step that was being presented – to start my own business helping women. I hired a mentor and got my LLC that week. Shelby Sweats was born in March 2020.
The following four years are very hard to condense into a few lines.
I went on an epic healing journey in and down. It was ROUGH at times. Touching your trauma for the first time and really facing yourself is hard. Being in your body for maybe the first time in your life? Also hard.
I worked with all the professionals, healers, therapists, guides. I collected ALL the tools. I began to heal and come back into my Being and Soma.
I began personal training women and helping them feel strong in their bodies. Eventually I expanded to nutrition and overall self-worth coaching. I became a Reiki Master, learned / became certified in 10+ healing modalities, continued on my spiritual Path, put down personal training and began to REALLY step in to my spiritual Path and role in this life as a guide and wayshower.
At some point, I got the clear download that it was time to move out of New Jersey to Sedona. 2.5 years ago, I listened to the call, not knowing a soul or WHY I was being called here. A week later, I met my partner, a soulmate and a true angel for me in this life.
That cycle of time in Sedona has been absolutely LIFE CHANGING. It was a period of deep inward work (daily devotion, ceremony, ritual, and practice) and deepening into my being, Dharma, Work, Purpose, personal material + trauma, and one of Becoming + then, UNBECOMING.
I had to become somebody in order to get to this Path now – of becoming nobody. I climbed in corporate, I climbed in entrepreneurship, I built a 6-figure / multi-6 figure business. I did it. But I had something to prove in that quest of Becoming.
And now, I don’t.
I have no interest in climbing anywhere. Thank Goddess for the ease + peace in which I have landed within myself.
My work and business continues to evolve and change as I do. Currently, my work is about guiding people into deeper wholeness within their beings, guiding those who are healers in the world, and sharing truth, Liberation, and Dharma.
I am here to walk people home to wholeness, and to surrender deeper to the unfolding of their Path. This often requires deep soul retrieval, relational healing, and trauma healing.
After working with 100s of people over the past 4 years, successfully running 4 retreats (@rewildtheimmersion), and becoming a true guide and mentor to people, what I know to be true is that the Path is so much less about doing than it is about Being, Becoming, and then Unbecoming.
It’s an honor to do the deep, intimate, mystical, and life-changing work I get to do with people.
